Our solution was to build a web-based system where BERG Propulsion has all the information needed gathered in one place to support their sales process. We developed BVIS (BERG Vessel Information System), a business application that compiles information about ships and equipment onboard as well the status of service and spare parts. The information is retrieved from several integrated databases and systems and presented in an easily accessible way.

BERG Propulsion now has an easy-to-use and business-oriented system that helps not only their own organisation but also their partners to sell more equipment. It supports new sales of advanced propeller systems as well as aftermarket sales of services and spare parts. All the valuable information in the BVIS system can be retrieved with a few clicks in the smart search and filter functions. Before visiting a client, sales staff can search for information about equipment onboard the ship, ship details, location, owner situation, and upcoming docking surveys. When stepping into a meeting, they are well prepared for a successful sales meeting.
