Challenge

WirelessCar is a developer and provider of digital services for connected cars. They turned to Skapa with the explicit ambition to do a complete makeover of their website. That included discarding a lot of existing content and design, rather than reusing them in different ways. The company wanted the new website to be characterized by the work they do, their way of working (internally and with their customers), and their role in the automotive ecosystem.

Solution

Skapa presented WirelessCar with a website concept made up of several key elements. Among them: a clear and easily navigable website structure; clear headlines and short introductory texts for separate sections and pages; big photos and background videos. The pictures and the videos alternate between imagery of WirelessCar’s personnel and main office on the one hand, and imagery of landscapes, cities and drivers on the other. The focus was on the company and on driving and mobility – not flashy cars or any specific product. A content marketing blog, Insights, was created too. This in order to further discuss and visualize the company’s work, address customers’ thoughts and experiences, and improve SEO.

Result

WirelessCar were very pleased with Skapa’s vision for the new website, and chose to implement it. Traffic to the new website has increased since its launch, making it easier for WirelessCar to reach out online and attract new customers and partners. The website is characterized not only by the company culture of WirelessCar, but its visual aesthetics as well, in terms of web design, color scheme and photo imagery.
